Hello again! Thanks for finding me again. As most of you all know and did, I finish up with school last October. Without all the extra school work I now can focus completely on Dog Tags Custom Designs.

Waterford Oaks 35th Anniversary

I just copied all the info for the Waterford Oaks 35th anniversary bike show and race by Deanna Edwards-Jamieson that she posted on VintageBMX.com.

Friday August 7th; will be a Jeffrey Upshaw and Tommy Zula clinic. The cost for the clinic is $25 and begins at 6pm.

SATURDAY AUGUST 8th; will be the bike show and race.

What is a vintage BMX bike? For this show it is any BMX bike that is over 10 years old

Vendor space is $10.00 for the day (no food or beverage vendors please)
We will have an inflatable obstacle course and a bounce house for the kids to play on

Samantha’s heart just isn’t in it.

It seams these days my daughters heart just isn’t into racing anymore. The last few races she was in, she got beat, badly, by girls she has beaten regularly in the past. Many people have told me it’s because the first moto she was in at Waterford Oaks, Great Lakes National, she had a bad spill and didn’t try the rest of the weekend. I feel she may have been losing interest long before that race.
She now tells me she doesn’t want to race the two state qualifiers in Traverse City or even the ABA National in New York next weekend. She tells me she still wants to race but only wants to to take a break for a little while. That’s fine with me, only the Michigan BMX season is so short, if we take a break now, we’ll miss the whole season.
I’m not sure what to do. I don’t want to force her to race. She’s only 7, if I push it now, I may burn her out. If we don’t take avantage the races now, I know in a few months, we’ll be snowed in, wishing we had a place to go race or even just ride.

This is my inauguration posting for this blog site. Let me explain what this site is about and why I created it.

Dog Tags – BMX blog site is actually a school project for my Web Integration class I’m in, for Graphic Design. This weeks assignment was to create a blog site on WordPress.com, for a topic of my choice and post the first blog, which this is.

The topic I chose was BMX. This site will be for anything BMX. Old School, racing, parts, Nationals, local racing, freestyle, or what ever. If you have any ideas you would like to talk about, please, by all means, post them here.
